New Lenovo Legion Go S has a Steam Button?
I swear every day I wake up to something unexpected in the Handheld Gaming space which keeps it exciting. Lenovo’s new Legion Go S has a Steam button on it in this The Verge Article by Tim Warren.
We know Valve has been working to make a SteamOS to be used on non-Steam handhelds. They told us SteamOS would be available to all years ago but we currently have to settle for re-packaged versions of the OS in like likes of projects like BazziteOS. Don’t get me wrong Bazzite does do a fantastic job but it’s still not SteamOS.
Tom Warren came across some images (used here) by Evan Blass of the new Lenovo Legion Go S and wouldn’t you know it… it has a Steam button. There is no way to know prior to an announcement if the Go S in fact comes with Steam or the button is placed in a bit of wishful thinking.
I have been waiting to look at the Legion Go S for a while now and never even considered it might be rocking SteamOS. But it’s either doing that or it is a fancy button to launch one of the many 3rd party OS’s using the image rebuild files from Valve to build out new Linux SteamOS type models.
Either way I now want to try this a little more.
