If you have the Lenovo Legion Go and can’t justify the “up to” 20% increase in power but want the ergonomics there is a solution.
Lenovo designed the Legion Go 2 controllers to direct swap to the Legion Go, difficult release mechanism and all. There is a small caveat from what I can tell however.
The specs would tell me the Legion Go 2 is taller than the Legion Go. I could be wrong but I think the controllers (I keep wanting to say joy-cons) will be taller too.
I’m sure it is just a matter of days once these new handhelds get into consumers hands before we start seeing 3D printed boarders to make them flush with the device. I did however think it was necessary to point this out.

I don’t personally see the generational leap coming from a LegGo to the LegGo 2. That said it would be a completely different story if I was upgrading from my Steam Deck to the Legion Go 2.
There is also something to be said about the AI features being added to the ROG XBox Ally X on the Z2 Extreme version that have a chance at making it a more powerful handheld than the LegGo 2 if done right. But it is lacking that beautiful OLED display and the controllers well…
If you ordered the Xbox Ally X and couldn’t justify the LegoGo 2 as I did, then I think the upgraded controls is a must. It’s not that the LegGo controls perform poorly but they are setup weird and are uncomfortable even with most grips added.

Personally I think it’s really awesome that Lenovo went out of their way to make the LegGo 2 controllers work on the LegGo. This fixes probably the biggest complaint gamers have about the original device.
