We are already starting to see the effects of rising memory costs in the Retro Handheld Space!
Last week Ayn announced that shipping of the Odin 3 Ultra will be halted until they have a better idea of memory costs in a post on the Ayn Odin 3 Discord.
This is bad news for anyone who wanted to get the top end model for the additional RAM and memory to use that snappy Snapdragon 8 Elite processor to do some PC gaming. It does sound however if you were one of the ones who ordered in there initial batch you should still be receiving your device. Otherwise expect shipping sometime in January 2026.
I do have a batch 1 order and there was a purple batch 3 that popped up on their website so I ordered it up to test and see if it gets delivered right away. Along with getting any announcements on the delay to relay to you. I haven’t seen any more orders show up yet.
