I never thought I would see the day when the “mortgage display” would actually hit the market…
Retroid announced in a teaser this morning the release of an upcoming Pocket Nova. I was really hoping for a Pocket Mini 2, I think this is as close as we are going to get.
If you don’t know “mortgage display” reference the CEO of Retroid offered to mortgage his house to create the original display promised in the Pocket Mini. We get a 4:3 OLED here either way so I’m here for it.
We don’t have any other specs at this point but I think it’s safe to say with Retroid that we will be seeing a Snapdragon processor. Because the display is 4:3 I would expect the processor to be an SDG1 Gen2 or SDG2 Gen2 to replace the formally used SD865.

Depending on what we see from Ayaneo and the Pocket Micro 2 there could be some head to head competition here. Retroid and Ayaneo do seem to be going head to head more with recent Android releases.
As always once we get more info we’ll let you know.
Are you excited for a new Retroid 4:3 OLED handheld?
