Anbernic RG34XX Release Date and Pricing:

I have been trying to decide if Anbernic is going to release their Game Boy Advance clone, RG34XX in 2024. I assumed they were going to try in order to get 12 handhelds on the market in 12 months. That is crazy to even think about.

Well now thanks to Russ from RetroGameCorps and his tweet (below) we have dates and pricing. It appears that the Anbernic RG34XX will be releasing on December 16th (yes 2024) at 5amET. I get the timezone difference but with so many releases this year I find myself always trying to get caught up on sleep.

The pricing is on the higher end of my initial guess which I think is still ok value wise if you don’t need joysticks. Really you should be buying this handheld for one reason… to emulate GBA at 3X Picture Perfect Resolution. If you order in the first 72 hours like all other Anbernic’s you will also be eligible for a discount. Keep in mind that Anbernic charges shipping that is typically around $12-$14 in the US. The first 72hrs price is $64 + shipping. If you decide to wait 4 or more days to order the retail price is $70 + Shipping so you save $8. That might not seem like a big deal but it’s an 11% savings you can use to buy half a GBA sticker to put over Anbernic’s on the back or help with shipping cost.

If you are good at not living with FOMO and wait a month or 2 at most, the price will likely be lower than the 72hr price. The RG34XX might even go on sale for New Years.
