New Mangmi Pocket Max: Available NOW!

The long awaited Mangmi Pocket Max has arrived!!

There are some special deals which we’ll go over along with the specs for the new Mangmi Pocket Max gaming handheld. If you just want to grab it now hit the button below.

Who’s the Pocket Max for?

There is a also a full spec sheet below but we are going to start with who the Mangmi Pocket Max is for. With its 7” 144Hz AMOLED display the Pocket Max has a great screen for game streaming.

It puts it in the likes of more expensive streaming handhelds like the Logitech GCloud, Ayn Portal and abxylute One Pro. With the 8000mAh battery you should be able to stream all day with the Pocket Max.

Aside from streaming the Snapdragon 865 found in the Mangmi Pocket Max is a proven chipset for game emulation and even some light games in your Steam library.

The SD865 is currently found in the Retroid Pocket 5 for the same price and 5” AMOLED display. The bigger screen on the Pocket Mac makes it feel more like an x86 handheld in some cases than one running on Android.

Special Feature

The Mangmi Pocket Air comes quipped with hot swappable buttons. Both the face buttons and DPad can be changed out from membrane to micro switch buttons with modular inserts.

Depending on the type of gamer you are the separate modules [gifted by Mangmi the first week of sales] will give you a more tactile feel. We have only seen this in premium handhelds like the Ayaneo Pocket 3 before.

Deals

With Mangmi’s last launch we learned the best deals to be had were directly through their website and that stays true here. They are running specials you won’t see anywhere else.

The Mangmi Pocket Max will be on sale for $199.99 [regular price $239.99] at the time of launch. This is a great deal when put up against the Retroid Pocket 5 for the same price.

As mentioned earlier Mangmi is also going to gift the modular buttons with your purchase between February 5th – February 12 2026. We don’t have a final price on the modular buttons after that but we’ve heard they will be on sale for around $9.99 once the initial promo ends.

Thoughts

At $ 200 the Mangmi Pocket Max is a solid deal. The chipset it has is already been very well optimized thanks to the Retroid community and the Pocket 5. This all gets a bit more complicated at the retail price of $239.99 as the market gets more saturated.

With a 7″ display outside of emulation and access to your Steam library through Apps Like GameHub, Game Native and Winlator, this handheld is also setup with everything you would want in a streaming handheld. In fact it way out specs my favorite streaming handheld the Logitec GCloud which is normally on sale for around $299 and has been out since October of 2022.

Right now one thing the Mangmi Pocket Max has working against it is Ayn running a promo on the Odin 2 Portal after discontinuing the Odin 2. Right now you can get the Ayn Portal for $249.99 and it has a much more powerful chipset, also a 7″ AMOLED display and is a smaller in hand handheld.

This doesn’t make the Mangmi Pocket Max any less great but instead gives you options for only a $50 difference. The Ayn Portal doesn’t have modular face buttons either.

All that said I am excited to play with the Mangmi Pocket Max. They are planning to ship to order, so the Early bird offer isn’t a pre-sale but instead should go out before the Chinese New Year which is awesome.
