Anbernic Clones Anbernic, RG35xxPro Reveal

Anbernic announced a new handheld today and it looks like everything else.

When Game Console cloned the now a couple years old Anbernic RG353V/VS it was fallowed by 100 more clones. Thanks to its popularity the R36S handhelds have become some of the most recognizable on markets like AliExpress.

It seems like Anbernic is going back to their roots. Following up with what appears to be the shell from their new sub brand BatleXP with the G350 launched earlier this year. The RG35xxPro looks like the same device but likely has a more powerful chipset.

But the irony isn’t lost that they are creating a handheld based off of a clone of Anbernics own handheld. Clone Inception!

As always Anbernic hasn’t released any specs yet. Seeing as they didn’t put their “new” SOC in the RG34xxSP, I’m guessing they won’t here either. So I’m going 2024 with a 2025 twist on specs.

I will be surprised and delighted if this new handheld isn’t launched with the H700 SOC along with 2GB of RAM. So far that extra GB of RAM hasn’t proven to be fruitful, but it definitely could help with Portmaster. This setup would make it slightly more powerful than the RK3326 in the G350 and likely include WiFi, Bluetooth, etc that it’s missing.

The good news is being less powerful than the original RG353V/VS means it will probably be cheaper. The RK3566 in the RG353V does however dual-boot Android and Linux.

Once we have more info I’ll share it. We likely won’t go long before more info is shared.
