MagicX Mini Zero 28 available Now
MagicX is making some moves right now. Not only have they launched their New website https://shop.magicx.team but they have launched their first handheld of 2025, the MagicX Mini Zero 28.

An obvious more powerful sibling to the XU mini M we now have the MagicX Mini Zero 28. I still don’t know where they get the names for these.

While we wait for the unit I ordered to be delivered this gives me an opportunity to go over some features of the handheld. The Mini Zero 28 is coming with the more powerful A133P SOC found in the TrimUI Smart Pro. This will give use playability on systems the likes of Dreamcast and PSP. I’m not sure you are going to want to play PSP on a 2.8” 640×480 display seeing as PSP 16:9 but I’ll be honest, I’ve played games in much worse situations.
We do have the full spec sheet which I’ll include here:

I’m not going to go over all the specs assuming you can read. There is a lot going for this little handheld. For starters they are implementing the Dawn Launcher again which has the looks and feel of a watered down Daijishō. This makes finding and loading games a breeze without the use of custom firmware.

With a 2900mAh battery on a handheld this size they should be able to stay true to their goal of 7-9 hours of life during gameplay. This will all be dependent on how taxing the games are but we have seen the A133P SOC be pretty efficient in the past.
At only 129g you might easily forget that this handheld is tucked away in your pocket. This is very welcoming for a handheld device you will likely be carrying around.

The MagicX Mini Zero 28 is coming in at only $55USD. As long as it still comes with the joysticks from the XU mini M it should be worth the price tag. It’s going to take some innovation from the likes of Miyoo and Anbernic once again to try and take on this device.

I ordered mine in Glacier Blue and it should look great next to its Orange and White predecessor.
