BilliBilli can be a good source of information to see what is upcoming and this is true with the new GameMT EX8 Gaming handheld.
We don’t have a lot of information about the EX8 yet but it looks to have a 4.88″ 3:2 FHD display according to the images we have seen thus far. Ok se we have a little more information:
- Display: 4.88″ 3:2 FHD
- Resolution: 1080xRGBx1620Dots
- Processor: Helio G99
- RAM: 6GB
- Memory: 128GB
- Battery: 5000mAh
[As always these are early release images we are getting the info from so the details are often changed prior to production]
It is notable that they EX8 will be using the Helio G99 with a Gameboy Advance matching 3:2 display. This will put it up directly against the Ayaneo Pocket Micro/Classic which though having a smaller display is using a 3:2 with a Helio G99.
I’m a big fan of GBA so this handheld has me interested. That an GameMT seems to come out with a lot of interesting things. You can go back and look at my reviews of the Ayaneo Pocket Micro and you will see that I think they used the wrong SOC for the device by using the Helio G99.
I know a lot of people like the price to performance of the Helio G99 but I have been left nothing but underwhelmed in the multiple devices I have used it on. We can only hope that GameMT has found a way here to squeeze a bit more out of it to take advantage of the nearly 5″ display.
Once I have more information I will definitely share it with you here. Including the Release date and pricing.
