If you are like myself and have been looking for a driver that works with the Retroid Pocket Classic you might be in luck.
At the recommendation of the Eden NS Emulator ‘Fetch’ option, which looks for drivers for you it recommended KIMCHI Turnip v819.2. I’ll admit I was pretty skeptical of Eden having the ability to chose the correct driver less just the last release on the K11MCH1/ AdrenoDriverTools page.

Both could be true in this situation but either way it has been working. The driver is from the Meta Quest 3 which comes equipped with the Snapdragon XR2 Gen2 processor. I’m not exactly sure how that lines up with the Snapdragon G1 Gen2 processor but that doesn’t matter as much as it working.

I’ve only been testing this for a day now with difficult to run NS games in Eden and it’s been impressive so far. I plan to test additional systems this week but there is a couple Switch games I can finally play on the RPC that I’ve been wanting to and am going to play those for a bit.
I will have my Retroid Pocket Classic Review up soon so definitely check it out. I’ll show the delights as well as points of contention with emulation on the RPC.

Driver Hunt
I needed to share because in my search for these drivers myself, I’ve seen many a discouraging post over on Reddit. I’m hoping this is just a stepping stone twords future driver expansion on the Pocket Classic.
I understand the argument around some of these systems might not being a good fit on this handheld. That said there are some great Indies and Platformers in the Switch catalog that work great on the RPC.
As we learn more and get additional updates we’ll keep you posted. If you have found other drivers that work well with the Retroid Pocket Classic please let us know!
Do you have the Retroid Pocket Classic and if so what is your favorite thing about the handheld? Is there anything you want to do that you can’t?
