SJGAM M21: a Clone of a Clone with what CPU?

Looks like SJGAM is at it again with a new handheld being dubbed the “R36S mini”. Why… well because it looks like the R36S. I don’t really get the mini part. There is however something new under the hood.

I’m assuming the N909 cpu that is in this handheld is the same cpu used in the ZTE N909. It’s a guess but that does rock a processor running at 1.2GHz which is about all we know about the M21. The specs say N909 1.2- 1.8GHz.

The other things we know right now is that it is sporting at 3.5” screen that is 640×480, may or may not come with separate controllers and has an HDMI out. This is also the same as the R36S.I’m struggling to find differences based off the the info we have so I’m going to have to get my hands in this device.

I looks like I should recive it in the next couple of weeks and once I do I’ll share my findings here a on YouTube. I’ve left the marketing images here for you so you have as much info as I do.

SJGAM has released some decent handhelds this year. I really have enjoyed the M19 which is a similar design with a single stick. Let’s hope the M21 turns out to be an update to that. If I learn anything more prior to receiving the handheld I’ll update you here.

I’m hoping this doesn’t turn out to be another eWaste clon4 but I think the deciding factor will be seeing what type of emulation we can get out of the N909 SOC.
