Ayaneo makes some solid gaming handhelds but they may be more known for their fanboy keyboard worriers that will mortgage their homes for the next release.
This is why Ayaneo decided they wanted to be more competitive with the upcoming release of the Pocket Fit under their new “Budget” line Konkr. This new Konkr product line or new company it’s a little confusing is going all in off the jump.

The Pocket Fit release information has dropped and pricing seemings to still be more than their closest price competitor Ayn. The same Ayn that just undercut Ayaneos most recent handheld to hit pre-order the Pocket DS with Ayn’s Thor dual screen offering.
Specs
But we are discussing the Pocket Fit that likely won’t “fit” in many pockets with its 6” 144Hz TrueColor 1920×1080 LCD display equipped with an ultra thin bezel. I’m not sure you would want to put this beauty in your pocket anyways, it’s built to be seen.

Some of the other top tier specs are likely also effecting the pricing. Ayaneo Konkr seems to have not held back from including current generation components used in parent Ayaneo’s handhelds right now.
I was in the middle of typing up the specs when I found them posted from Konkr so they are listed below in an annoying long chart that wasn’t fun to crop to fit:

Pricing
When Ayaneo Konkr was shooting for affordable handhelds I’m unsure which brand they were targeting as they are still more expensive than their closest price competitor. I think I knew better, but was really hoping they would be targeting the Retroid line of handhelds that tend to offer high quality devices around $200.

Konkr has a live stream announcement tomorrow but has already released promotional materials that give us a good feel for where they are targeting the start pricing of the Pocket Fit. The promo materials below have the Pocket fit starting as <$369 which leaves some suspense if you don’t look at past releases.

Thoughts
I’m not sure this Konkr Pocket Fit is something I would consider budget, but as a fan of Ayaneo handhelds it is starting on the lower end of pricing for them. There is one other really interesting thing to take into consideration when it comes to Ayaneo handhelds, I’m interested to see if stays true with Konkr and that it sales.
If you follow Ayaneo sales the most expensive offering which is normally hundreds more than the others for a special “retro” version almost always sells out first. They also put up a paywall for fun colors like yellow requiring you to spend hundreds more to get those colors, but that also comes with better specs than the base as well.

I’ll be on the presentation to see what we learn. The Pocket Fit seems more rugged looking than other Ayaneo handhelds and I’m really digging the styling. I’m skipping the Ayaneo Pocket DS which appears to be the best pre-order handheld of theirs that I’ve seen in order to pickup the Ayn Thor. With the money I’ll save I will hopefully be able to get this Konkr Pocket Fit to review for you.

If you want to compare Ayaneo/Konkr to their closest competitor I’ll leave links for both below. Keep in mind there still isn’t much for drivers for the SDG3Gen3 but amazing emulation due to drivers for the SD8Gen2 and SD865.
What do you think about the Konkr Pocket Fit? Are you going to pick this handheld up when the Indigogo opens up?
