Mangmi is joining the Vertical Retro Handheld PARTY!

One of our favorite sub $100 handheld manufacturers is joining a very saturated vertical handheld space with a new release.

Mangmi is that underdog in the Retro Handheld scene that came in with a bang thanks to the $99 Air X released last year. They followed that release up recently with the Pocket Max selling for $229, with included hot swappable face buttons and DPad on what has become a great Android streaming and emulation handheld.

Both of these handhelds are still selling for these prices on their website. This leaves us to ask what the Mangmi Air Y is going to cost? I would assume the entry level version will be sub $99.

That’s right there will be 2 different versions of the Air Y which you can tell apart thanks to the lower powered version having one joystick to the Pro device with two. We also know there will be a Qualcomm SOC on the Pro version and hopefully the entry- level device as well.

Other than that thanks to Retro Dodo doing some digging we should hopefully see pre-orders on or around July 30th with more information expected to be released this month. This might put players on pause with the TrimUI Brick Pro already up for pre-order in a similar design and also said to be sporting a Snapdragon SOC.

Once we find out more info we’ll keep you posted. Mangmi has awesome fans so their releases are a lot of fun.

Are you as excited as we are for the Mangmi Air Y? Will this make you wait to order the new TrimUI Brick Pro?
